No. It's just another liberal-guilt, feel-good, program that does nothing. Like garbage recycling, it makes (some) feel good, but it costs more than it's worth.

Is it worth while to select the “green power” option on your utility bill?
On my electric bill I have the option to select "green power" which according to them would be taken from renewable energy sources. The only disadvantage is that a 6% surcharge is added to my bill but really the charge is negligable in comparision to my bill. (For example it would be an extra 50 cents on the bill)
